Technical team


The PLIITH R&D team is led by Academician Chen Xuesi, a leading figure in the field of biodegradable polymers. The core members of the team have more than 10 years of industry experience and possess extensive experience in industrial development and applications, mastering the core technologies across the PLA industry chain.

Primarily engaged in research and development in biodegradable polymer materials, tissue engineering and drug sustained release, as well as the industrialization of polylactic acid (PLA) and polycaprolactone (PCL), with over 260 authorized patents.

Bian Xinchao, Researcher

Researcher and doctoral supervisor at the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Published over 50 papers and holds 88 authorized patents
Mainly engaged in the research of biodegradable polymer materials
Has made breakthroughs in a series of key scientific and technological issues in the industrialization of PLA, achieving multiple innovative results
Led the construction of China's first 5,000-ton and 15,000-ton PLA production lines, with product indicators fully meeting international mainstream standards
Developed over 30 grades of specialized PLA resins, covering fields such as extrusion, injection molding, film blowing, spinning, and 3D printing
Participated in the compilation of the national standard for PLA (GB/T 29284-2012)

Liu Yanlong, Researcher

Researcher at the Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry of Chinese Academy of Sciences
Has been engaged in the modification of high-performance PLA for over a decade
Developed over 20 grades of modified PLA resins
Published 14 scientific papers and holds 18 authorized invention patents.

Li Rongqun, PhD / Senior Engineer

Director / General Manager of PLIITH Biotechnology Co., Ltd
Has been involved in polymer material modification for 19 years, recognized as a provincial technological leader, a candidate for the 12th batch of academic and technological leaders, a high-level C-class talent, Luzhou Talent, and the leader of the Luzhou Industrial Innovation Team
Applied for 202 patents and has 23 authorized ones
Led 5 scientific and technological achievement evaluations by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation and multiple new product certifications
Won the Second Prize of the Ministry of Education's Science and Technology Progress Award and the First Prize of Shanghai's Technology Invention Award
Presided over projects including the National Development and Reform Commission's Industrial Transformation and Upgrading Project, major emerging industrial projects in Anhui Province, special funds for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in Anhui Province, special financial funds projects in Anhui Province, and core patent industrialization projects in Anhui Province. He also led the accreditation of important R&D qualifications such as the National Enterprise Technology Center, the national CNAS laboratory, and the Anhui Provincial Engineering Technology Research Center.

Engaged in the development of lactic acid and related new products, product applications, technology development, and research on lactic acid production technology and processes
Achieved over 20 significant technological breakthroughs in lactic acid production technology, winning 1 Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award,4 Second Prizes and 2 Third Prizes of the Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award. Participated in drafting national standards for lactic acid for several times
